Mindfulness
“Mindfulness is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves. Consider, for example: a magician who cuts his body into many parts and places each part in a different region—hands in the south, arms in the east, legs in the north, and then by some miraculous power lets forth a cry which reassembles whole every part of his body. Mindfulness is like that—it is the miracle which can call back in a flash our dispersed mind and restore it to wholeness so that we can live each minute of life.”
By Hanh, T.N. (1976), The miracle of mindfulness: a manual on meditation, (P. 14). [By Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist monk, originally written in Vietnamese in a letter to another Buddhist monk].

My Mission
My mission is to support individuals who are navigating the emotional challenges of separation, helping them find healing, clarity, and renewed purpose in their lives. What sets me apart is the unique combination of my professional and personal journey: as a qualified matrimonial and family law solicitor with over 30 years of combined professional and commercial experience, I bring deep understanding of the complexities of separation from both a legal and emotional perspective. Alongside formal study in psychology, counselling, and the philosophy of mind, I also draw on the lived wisdom of being a mother whose children have recently flown the nest. This unique blend of expertise and empathy enables me to offer a holistic approach to therapy, bridging both the practical realities and emotional depths of life transitions. My goal is to help you not only come to terms with separation but to rediscover your self-worth, uncover new meaning, and embrace the possibility of happiness in the next chapter of your life. All sessions are online via Zoom.
About Me.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1994 and specialised in matrimonial and family law, focusing initially on domestic violence and emergency cases concerning children. I then became a self-employed Company Director for 16 years whilst raising two children and running a commercial sailing, diving and fishing business and a seafood restaurant (number one on TripAdviser). I then returned to the law in 2018 as a Senior Family Law Consultant Solicitor and continue to practise as such. Alongside this, I have undertaken a Masters Degree in Psychology to help a close family member through a life-threatening illness, and completed a Level 5 Diploma in Counselling. I am therefore very well-placed to offer post-Divorce and separation Psychotherapy and Counselling, as well as Counselling for other life-challenges as a life coach.

Client Feedback
"Thank you for your kindness, expertise and efficient approach in helping me through my divorce process. When my relationship broke down a couple of years ago it was extremely sad. I was always hopeful to mediate our separation but sadly over time that was not the case. Having always been a private person it wasn’t easy for me to suddenly have to find someone for guidance and support in something so personal. Then I had the predicament of who….so many solicitors to pick from! Well lucky for me, I chose well! I soon realised after that very first phone call and through this whole process I’d been fortunate to have come across you. I’ve loved your calm approach and kind understanding of my situation, your clear and knowledgeable advice which has always been so reassuring. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done and hope within time my divorce is settled and I can fully move on. I will without doubt always recommend you."
